Wizbit was a bizarre childrens TV show from 1986 starring Paul Daniels (who also sang the theme tune), Debbie McGee a talking yellow wizard's hat and a big white talking rabbit.

The yellow wizard's hat was called Wizbit and he came to visit earth from the planet WOW (World of Wizards). Whilst on earth, in a place called Puzzleopolous, Wizbit would hang around with the big rabbit, and would solve puzzles at the Puzzle Gate which would only open if you solved the puzzle. The other inhabitants of Puzzleopolous included some decks of cards and some foam balls.

Very strange program but rather compelling nonetheless.

    Paul sensibly kept to the role of narrator most of the time, and did a few tricks at the start and end of the show. Wizbit's rabbit friend was called Wooly (sp?) and the series also had a great bad guy in Professor Doom, who lived in the sky in Castle Creep atop a giant stone fist and misused magic in an attempt to create general unhappiness for those resident. Of course, Wizbit always foiled him. There was a Wizbit Magic Club, of which this novice magician was a proud member. You were sent simple tricks and a quarterly, typed newsletter with more tricks and info on the series - via this means I discovered the final series' episode titles before it aired, which made me feel very privileged! I was also sent a signed photo of Wizbit, Wooly and Paul Daniels! Wizbit has undergone a recent revival I believe. I remember he promised to stay in Puzzleopolis "for a year and a day", but the series actually ran for about three years!

    The theme tune remains in my head to this day, as with Paul Daniels cringeworthy acting!

    They made us watch it at primary school. Guess they thought it was some kind of treat ! The tune has been engrained in my mind every since !!

    haha yeh, i remember this, i had it on video, and i remember a very large carrot dancing in the road, possibly with the very large rabbit. how strange.

    Yep! I remember this one too..Wizbit was a big,yellow, cone thingie and wasn?t his bestfriend a large white rabbit (not sure of his name though)
