Star Fleet This was one of my favourite shows as a child growing up. An epic storyline, space battles, a giant robot and one hell of a good soundtrack. I was delighted when it was released a couple of years ago on DVD having had to rely on copies of the edited American videos. I would love to see if the original Japanese version was slightly different from what we saw in the UK.
VCRs I still remember the first VCR my family bought in December 1982. It was one of those bulky toploader Ferguson Videostar. It performed admirably for many years before it started to go a little wonky - tapes were chewed and eventually it stopped working altogether. Still it was a good solid VCR unit and it did it's duty in taping many an episode of Star Fleet for myself!!
Atari 2600 I used to love my Atari 2600 until I switched to the Commodore 64. Used to have some great games on it such as River Raid (a personal favourite) and Q-Bert.
Bazooka Joe Bubble Gum Bazooka Joe gum are still being made but they're smaller than what they used to be back in the 70's/80's. They still contain a small cartoon strip inside as well.
Ready Brek Advert The only cereal that allegedly gave you a radioactive orange glow according to the ad. Never saw my mate who ate it regularly get one though!!!
Last of the Summer Wine I always felt that Summer Wine went downhill once Bill Owen passed away - he was an integral part of the show. The earlier series with the classic trio of Compo, Clegg and Foggy are hilarious.
3-2-1 Whilst I loved 3-2-1 I never managed to solve any of the clues, they were just too damn tough!! Obviously you had to be a genius to work them out!
