Until recently I lived in Amsterdam, (in various bars there anyway) on the Westlandgracht canal. I speak French well, Dutch badly, although I am English by birth ( I speak that pretty badly too.) Love red wine yum yum.

Lame Ducks David Essex wasn't in Lame Ducks. It was John Duttine as Brian Drake (a pun, geddit?) who wakes up in hospital and finds that his wife is divorcing him. He takes half of the money from the sale of his house and sets off to become a hermit. He meets Angie (Lorraine Chase) a young woman drifter, a strange postman walking around the world on a ball, and other odd characters. Brian's ex-wife hires a private detective Mr Ansell (played by Brian Murphy, ex of George and Mildred) to follow him, buit he doesn't like his work and joins the community. I believe that there were two series in the mid eighties.
