I remember in the early days '100% machine code' was a big selling point for computer games, as there were so many shoddy BASIC games still being sold. I bought Space Raiders and it was indeed a pretty accurate version of the arcade game, but by the time it came out (1983) the whole Space Invaders hype (1979) had pretty much died down, and we wanted a more complex gaming experience for our money. This game was a bit of a disappointment for me. - Action Biker
You're right. The game was completely different on the Spectrum and Commodore64. The description is accurate for the Spectrum version I had, but the photo depicts the C64 cassette box.
