Swansea depot tried various ways of cutting costs ,they even bought two electric vans similar to milk floats sprayed in the corona yellow colours,Rob and his van boy Conkers used to deliver to the Gorseinon swansea area in the first electric vans,however due to a drinks company called alpine who sold their pop at half the price Corona could not compete so set up the drivers as agents using the corona brand and made them go self employed,..... this post has stirred up really happy memories well done - Corona soft drinks
interesting post from Terry, I worked for corona as a driver when i was 18 my van boy was the same age as me, i live in algarve now and could not believe that i bumped in to Brian Rees the driver in a local supermarket in portugal i had not seen him for over 30 years that Terry mentoned in the 2004 post above, john his vanboy later went on to become a driver also
