Howard's Way Who wrote the above twaddle? The usual sneering nonsense that was no doubt written as an attempt at acerbic wit. The usual guffawing over its home-grown location not being as glamorous as the likes of Dallas. Really? Have you seen Dallas?? Still, sneering at this country is the norm for some - usually idiots. By the way, it wasn't written as an answer to the likes of Dallas, as the same theme of family dramas mixed with business takeovers had been used in the other co-creation of Gerard Glaister, The Brothers', which ended in 1976 after seven series. As to the vocal version of the theme song, sung by Marti Webb, yet another inexplicable jibe against a lovely song, beautifully sung. The Irony of such self-congratulating, smugness, is that Howards' Way was no doubt more popular than whatever nonsense the author enjoys watching. When you write something as popular as Howards' Way, do let me know. Guess that'll be sometime never then.
