- BMX bikes
I remember my first intro to BMX -- We had move from the East to the midwest in 1977 (I was 10) . Back in NY everyone was still riding banana bikes. The closest thing I had seen in NY was the Huffy Thunder Road. To me the BMX bikes were like a Huffy Thunder Road but with a 10-speed bike's seat. Unfortunately for me, the BMX bikes like the MONGOOSE, REDLINE, RAMPAR,TAKARA were too expensive. I had to settle for a Huffy Thunder Trail, which actually was just a thunder road with a 10-speed seat.
