The 1st record i bought for myself just because i thought it was cool and the group looked cool on top of the pops was 'Requiem' by Slik 1975/6ish, Midge Ure was the singer and i thought they looked cool as, in US baseball gear 18 months later he was in the Rich Kids and they were brilliant a much underated band, great glamppopunk singles an early new wave supergroup with Glen Matlock[sex pistols],Midge Ure[Slik+sex pistols auditionee] Steve New R.I.P.[too many great bands to list] and Rusty Egan on drums and future key figure in the new romantic scene.I bought the slik album shortly after the singles and it wasn't great.
