Hi Kevinm, Richmond Way, Chelmsley Wood. Birmingham. B37 7TT. If I recall correctly, the phone number on the backboard of the TK's for Chelmsley Wood Head Office was 021 770 6816..... As for accuracy on this... I did a round in Grimsby one week and the following week all the rounds books got nicked. We had copies for all the rounds except the one I had done the previous week...I remembered about 80% of the round. Pete Brookes was gobsmacked...so was I!! :) - Alpine Soft Drinks

Your name rings a bell Joe, I was at Beeston from 1978 to 1981 before promotion and off to Rotherham. Here's some names for ya. Alex Webster, John Saunders, Nev Powell, Paul Smith, Gordon (from Leics depot), and John Boulton. I can remember many more faces but their names escape me.... I started on Round 8 (Bulwell/Hucknall/Kirkby in Ashfield-Mansfield Woodhouse/Ilkeston/Bestwood Park Est. Later had Round 7 with Nev as my van lad, did Mapperley/Netherfield-Carlton-Gedling-Colwick/West Bridgeford/Lenton Boulevard/Broxtowe-Strelley. - Alpine Soft Drinks
Not THE Pete Brookes from Rotherham? He used to be my area manager when I was at Rotherham depot as canvass manager and promoted me to depot manager at Hull. Is he still around mate? Ask him if the bird table/house has stood the test of time... :) I very much doubt it haha! Had to interupt his dinner one Monday when two of our drivers set fire to the depot in Hull. Gutted the place. But, such was the organisation at Alpine, we were back in business within a day and sold more pop that week than at any other time! Me and Pete got our faces in the local rag.... :) Please say hello to him for me, top bloke.
