The program is Fabian Of Scotland Yard, it starred Bruce Seton as Inspector Fabian, it ran on British TV in the 1950s. It featured amazing chases on foot. It was very dramatic and a lot more storyline than most of it's more modern contemproraries, like the Avengers, Gideon's Way and Danger Man. Bruce Seton made a name for himself playing detectives and bad guys in early British movies, he got the role of King Arthur in the series of The Adventures of Sir Lancelot, which starred William Russell in the title role. William Russell had been in a TV series The Gordon Honour, and then appeared in the early BBC-tv Doctor Who series (1963) which starred William Hartnell. Bruce Seton mainly played cameo parts in dramas and comedies during the rest of his life on screen playing parodies of his Fabian role at times.
