Super Mario Brothers was a cartoon which featured 2 Italian plumbers, called Mario and Luigi, from the computer/arcade game of the same name.
They got to venture out around Mario World, occasionally defeating Bowser, (or temporarily restricting him until the next episode) and rescue the Princess.
It was a very colourful cartoon, and whenever the Marios jumped, and bumped into anything, they would have the same sound effects as in the game.
There were also a few mushroom-headed creatures who I forget the name of, but were quite helpful.
