The frozen Jubbly was the hot and weary schoolboy's choice of refreshment in the early 1960s to be consumed on the long bus-ride home. I could never bite into ice without wincing, but half-frozen they delivered a richly flavoured, cold orange drink. The quirky packaging was a brilliant piece of marketing. Wonder which shopkeeper first thought of freezing them? Genius!
