This was a cartoon about King Kong that was originally from the 1960's but was repeated in the 1970's. One of the characters was called Doctor Hoo (not to be confused with the Time Lord)
I still remember the theme, it went like this, ' King Kong, who knows the fame of King Kong, ten times as big as a man'
