Caesar's Travels was one of many games made by Microrsoft for Amstrad computers such as the Spectrum +2. Caesar was a black and white cat thrown out of his home by a cruel owner for failing to be a good mouser. The text-and-graphics game was a simple find-your-fate adventure for younger children, in which by choosing Caesar's route, the player would lead him to one of many possible new homes, e.g. witch's cat, living on a barge, working at a fairground. In the most moving outcome, for some reason seldom reached, he returned to his original home and a remorseful owner. Most memorable for the high drama when Caesar is thrown out - big flash of light on the screen that today would make you think your laptop was packing in -and the Spectrum's unique sound effect for Caesar's cry. EEEEEUGHHH!!!
